She's Home

At 1:45 this morning Alicia awoke and ran to her her moms bedside while telling me she is gone. I had reached over and moved her in the bed and she took one last breath and went home. I believe she woke Alicia at that very moment so we could be all be there when she left. Praise God.....

Dear Scott, Alicia, and Colby,
I am so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine your pain but at the same time, I know you are rejoicing knowing Lorrie is no longer in pain. She will always always be with you. If there is such a beautiful way to die, she did it with the love of her family surrounding her at home. I watched my father-in-law die in the same manner - with the care of hospice- in his home- with all the family there around him. I truly felt it was beautiful. Please know I am here for you always and love you so much.

Love,
Teresa McGee

To say Lorrie will be missed by us all is an understatement. She brightened each life that she touched - always willing to help no matter what was needed. I keeping looking at your picture of thanksgiving 2009 - you all looked so happy. It's great to know that there will be a day in the future when you'll all be together again and even more happy as Lorrie will be once again whole. I know that knowledge gives you comfort and peace at this time. May God bless you and your children.

Scott and family. I am blessed to have known you all for so long. As we all have come and gone thru the years, kids grown into adulthood. I am MOST greatful for your family to have found our family at Scottsdale Christian Church. Lorrie had always told me that she was glad Becky had followed me to SCC because thats then when Polly and Sam, and you guys came. Our bad circumstances (divorce) brought me and becky to SCC and that trickled into your family as well. THAT was a GOD thing, as was Lorrie. Lorrie said she always counted on me to make her laugh and I so appreciated MAKING her laugh...till it hurt. God bless you and your family!

I guess Lorrie and Grandma finally found a place big enough to be together. Afterall, I heard that Lorrie went shopping with Grandma just the other day...probably in preparation for Lorrie's After Life transition. Love never dies, it just changes channels.

We are so sorry. Sorry does not seem like the word to use, when dealing with the loss of such a BEAUTIFUL ANGEL. My heart is breaking for you all. Alicia, your bond with your Mom is clearly shown by her coming to you her her last moments. That bond will NEVER end. You will find that in times you miss her the most, little things will remind you that she is always there. We love you all and so wish that we could be there to hug each one of you.
We will be praying for peace for you and the family. If there is anything that we can do....PLEASE do not hesitate to call.

Love Always,
Nicole

Your strength, unity and grace that you all have shown through this very difficult time has been such a testiment to us all.
Lorrie was given the Dignity and Grace to be home where she should of been with her loved ones. I admire each one of you.

I pray for peace and comfort beyond all understanding and may your hearts feel Lorrie's spirit reassuring each one of you how much she loves you.

I keep trying to wrap my brain around the fact that she is in the very presence of JESUS.

I love you all and wish I could be there to kiss and hug each one of you.

Scott, Alicia and Colby,

I thank God for the beautiful legacy Lorrie left us all....her warmth, caring, love and even her laughter we will always remember. Even when she was working...she had a prayer list on her desk inviting us to ask for prayer or if we knew someone who needed prayer....she would pray for them throughout her workday while working....again thinking of others and not of herself. To Lorrie's family,
I rarely saw Lorrie without a smile on her face, her strength amazed me. She was both beautiful inside and out and I am grateful for knowing and working with her.
I admire your strength as you carry on without her, she is in your heart and will never leave you. My sympathy to you all.

He Only Takes The Best
By Author Unknown
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be.
So He put His arms around you and whispered “come to me.”
With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away.
Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.

All our love and prayers,
John, Ashley & Chloe

Your the best Scott. My niece has been very fortunate to have had you to share her life with for 30 years. The two of you have done so much more than you realize to touch the lives of so many. Thank you both for all the wonderful times we shared together as a family. Please know that Lorrie lives on with you within your beautiful children and the loving memories that you all will have to recollect, and keep for the rest of your lives. This blog Scott is so deep.... I feel you bro.
